Who we are.

OUR TEAM, OUR PARTNERS, OUR SPONSORS.

San Leandro 2050 is a community-based organization based in San Leandro, California.

We formed as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit in 2019. We envision a city that eliminates its greenhouse gas emissions—currently 573,300 metric tons annually—by 2050, to reverse the negative effects of climate change that are increasingly felt everywhere, including in San Leandro.

To move toward this vision, we need what we call Community Climate Solutions. These are projects, improvements, and action plans that are put in place for and with the community, including businesses, nonprofits, schools, church congregations, neighborhood groups and individuals—everybody here in San Leandro. Our role is to bring people together in this shared effort, through partnership and with the help of our sponsors.
